Who introduced you to fly fishing?

My grandfather and older brother.

Can you tell us a little about your home waters and the fish you pursue there?

I am a full time charter captain in the Florida Keys and I pursue tarpon, bonefish , and permit.

What's the height of the season for you? What time of year is your personal favorite?

March through October is the height of my season and I personally like April through September ...

What are your favorite travel destinations? What's on the bucket list?

My bucket list would be rooster fish, GT's, golden dorado, tiger fish, and pretty much every other fish I have not yet caught on fly.

What do you like most about Thomas and Thomas rods? Which rods do you fish?

What's not to like? I primarily fish the Solar.

What's your current go-to fly?

Dickey's tarpon muddler.

Other than fly tackle, what piece of gear do you find indispensable?

Pliers... A really good set of pliers ..

My favorite thing about guiding is:

Teaching... Putting someone on their first tarpon

From the angler’s point of view, what do you see as the main value of going on a guided trip?

The knowledge you will gain from a professionals point of view.

What can new fisherman expect to get out of a guided trip? My favorite thing to teach a client is ...

I like to teach someone to be an angler... Know the situation and react to it... There is a big difference in just going fly fishing and actually understanding what's going on and KNOWING how to feed a fish a clump of feathers and fur.

What's your ideal lunch when on the water? What do you actually pack?

Fresh sub sandwich... Regular sandwich

Gink and Gasoline, southern culture on the fly, drake, catch, mid current , moldy chum, vagabond fly mag..
